Trying something a little different this trip

Well, we're going to try something a little different this trip. I'm going add a link to a map below that will let you see where we are when you click on the link. I just have to remember to start the tracking app for this to work. Check back to see if it works for you and let us know. If it doesn't, I'll delete this post. If I've forgot to start the app all you will get is the blank blue screen. If I remember to start it up you should see a map with one red marker showing our present location. Click "Show Route" and you should see several little red dots showing our route from where we started to our present location. Mouse over the red dots and it should tell you the time and speed we're traveling and some other info like latitude & longitude. You can zoom in and see exactly where we are on the road. It updates every 30 seconds, but you might have to refresh your browser if the route disconnects for some reason. You can view in Map View or Satellite View. For some reason the buttons for show/hide route won't show on an IPad. When you first go to the page it takes a little while for the route to show.

We woke up this morning with rain, as we mentioned last night. So we decided to rent a car for the trip to Daytona, and I'm glad we did. We drove through a monsoon most of the way over there. After we got to the racetrack, the skies cleared and it really turned off nice, other than the wind was very gusty. It got up to 77 degrees this afternoon. We toured the vendors, but most everything was V-Twin oriented. We did stop by the Honda tent and took a few pics of some of the new bikes. (Pics below) Not interested in any of them though. We then stopped by the Kawasaki tent to see if a couple we used to go to church with were working today.  They were working, so we had a short visit with them. I'm not sure if any of you know them, but their names are Dan & Lydia Millholland. Dan has always liked fast motorcycles, and he and his sons got hooked up with Kawasaki about 8 or 9 years ago to ride bikes for them. Dan & his sons, Zack & Chad, belong to a very elite group as being the only father & sons to all run over 200 mph.  Dan's best speed is at 200.540 mph, Chad is at 208.594 mph, and Zack 227.340 mph. Pretty fast family for sure. Any way that's it for tonight. Nighty night!!
